A new Kirkland’s in Ahwatukee opened its door for shoppers a few days ago. Having a home decor store in our community is very welcoming news.
Kirkland’s is a home decor and gift store with currently 11 stores in the state of Arizona with the store in Ahwatukee being the 12th store. The closest store to us in Ahwatukee was the one in the Chandler Fashion Mall, about 8 miles.
Ahwatukee home owners and residents can update their homes, decorate for seasons and holidays like Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day without having to travel over the I-10 to do so.
Where is the Kirkland’s in Ahwatukee located?
Located in the Foothills Towne Center on the south-west corner of Ray Road and 48th Street, the Kirkland’s in Ahwatukee shares space with other stores such as the Room store for furniture, Leslie’s Pools for residents with pools, Marshalls for home goods and clothing and Sprouts for food and health. The location makes it easier to shoppers to get a lot done without having to drive for long.
For newly weds and soon to married couples, the new store has items to help them set up their new home and also gifts for the bride and groom as well as for bridal showers.
Grand Opening for the Kirkland’s In Ahwatukee
The Kirkland’s in Ahwatukee had its grand opening on Saturday August 2, 2014 from 9am to 3pm. the store had items on sale just for the day as well as some items on sale for the week.The atmosphere was friendly, welcoming and busy as friendly workers greeted shoppers at the door and assisted them in finding deals and steals for the day.
Refreshments by Johnnie Java and Sweets Unlimited
To make sure shoppers were hydrated and comfortable during the grand opening with cold lemonade and cucumber water. Kirkland’s also had refreshments, snacks and drinks.
Johnnie’s Java provided a continuous flow of coffee drinks with pastries and sweets from Sweets Unlimited.

Featured Designer for Grand Opening
The store had an interior designer during the grand opening for shoppers who had questions. The featured designer was Claudia Dabdoub of D’Amore Interior Design Studio, a local Ahwatukee resident who offers Free Consultations for potential clients. you can find her on Houzz and Facebook.
The Kirkland’s in Ahwatukee is now officially opened and ready to serve shoppers. This store is a great addition to our community.
